A random thought just occurred to me...

Sometimes in life, there are just some things you find hard to let go. You cling on to them with promises of hope, and things will become better soon, and all these while, you are torturing yourself just for that last vestige of hope. Maybe what you have right now is a dead end, and you may never ever get your wish.

But, what if something else comes your way? What if, this thing can change your life for the better? Or what if, while this may be not better than your current option, but, at least, you know, you know with some confirmation that, yes, I can have this option instead?

Will you then finally, abandon your current option? Will you find it hard to let go? Will you still hang on to that last vine of hope that you may never get? Will you?

Will I?

While hope (and the prospect of it) is a great thing to all mankind, well, sometimes... You just can't get everything you hope for...
