Friends? Who Knows?
Sunday, September 26, 2010
Sometimes in life, you just find someone you can talk to very easily.

Someone who is alike, in personality or otherwise. Equally lazy. Loves to procrastinate.

Someone who shares the same interests. Wanting to work for fashion houses. Has interests in fashion and being in style. Finds the same joke equally funny/lame/whatever.

Someone who shares the same views in life. Almost. Similar anyway, because nobody can be exactly the same.

And you just find it so easy to talk to the person. You can go on and on for hours, and sometimes, time flies without you ever knowing. Amazing, ain't it?

And when such a person arrives into your life, you will do well to treasure the friendship that the person is able to provide you.

I certainly will. =D

Way Too FUNtastique
Sunday, September 5, 2010
Yesterday was the annual Human Resource Club's Bridging Day. Actually, no. In a bid to change and liven things up, we changed the name and concept.

So, yesterday was HRC Orientation Day: Way Too FUNtastique!

I was assigned the role of a Group Leader, for one of the 4 groups we had. HaHa! Throughout my experience as a GL, I realized that I am not a very loud leader. I am not the rah-rah kind. Seriously. If you were in my group, you would probably be sitting around in a circle talking to each other, while the other group around would be doing loud cheers.

I am not the kind to be the one to enthu the whole group. In fact, I felt very uncomfortable when I had to do that. After a while, I just gave up. Ahaha.

But yeah. I really realized that I am not a loud leader who can 带动潮流 and energize a massive number of people. I am more of the quiet kind, who will go up to people and talk to them on a personal level. That's more me lor.

Probably that will have implications on the workplace later. What if I become a HR Director and will need to rah-rah employees? This is bad. Sigh.

But oh well. Moving on! From an organizer's point of view, the event went well! We had good attendance rate, which I am very very proud of (kudos to our wonderful publicity team)! Our event went well, and people (mostly) enjoyed themselves. We took a new bold direction and extended a traditionally half-a-day event to a entire full day, and our efforts paid off. :D

So, YAY! This gave me encouragement to drive my upcoming project, the HR Youth Forum! Which means, I have to stat planning for it now. Ahaha! =p

Eating 5 笼 of 小笼包 is really no joke.

After A Long Hiatus
Wednesday, September 1, 2010
Woah. It seems like I skipped the entire month of August. Oh my my. This is quite unprecedented. =p

The truth is, from the last post until August 20th, I have been working. I didn't blog because there was nothing much exciting happening during that period. I work from 8.30 to 6 every Monday to Friday, and after that, I am too tired/busy with other things to even think of blogging. And there was nothing much to blog about anyway. Do you really want me to regale you with office politics/what I did as an intern and bore you to death? =p (Okay, fine. Office politics is juicy news, but not like I can talk about such things on the blog anyway...)

Then from Aug 22th to 28th, I was away for Hall 1 Freshmen Orientation Camp. HaHa! This is my last year attending FOC before I graduate. It was damn tiring, but I really enjoyed myself a lot. This year's freshies were certainly enthusiastic and onz. I had a great time with them! =D

Then this week. Start of school! Finally! :D I do expect myself to be busy though, with the heavy workload for my cores, plus my duties as Project Manager of the Human Resource Consulting Club (organizing the Youth Forum! O.o), and also with FYP. I do think I am gonna be dead. :<

Oh well. I will try to keep on blogging, as often as I can. :) Gambatte, Kelvin! :D
