HRC Bridging Day
Saturday, August 29, 2009
I just came back from HRC Bridging Day, organised by the HRC Club as a get-to-know session between HR seniors and the juniors, and between us juniors as well.

It was very fun, and I certainly did enjoy myself. I ended up doing ALL the forfeits. My god. I am damn baka. But haha! It was quite fun la, and I didn't mind doing forfeits. Enjoy ma. =D

I am now watching 星光大道's PK Challenge. My god. Ai Jia is really DAMN GOOD! I cried at her song "傻瓜". Her voice, her facial expression totally fully fleshed out the emotional aspects of the song, and I can't help but cry. My god. She is GOOD.

And ANTHONY! Omg omg OMG OMG OMG ANTHONY! He's EXCELLENT! I got drawn into his song. Totally drawn in. I felt his pain. I felt his misery. And omg. I am very very VERY high now. OMG ANTHONY!

I love 星光大道. Why have I only started watching this season ar??

Out of the love for sharing, here is Anthony's performance:

Truth
Sunday, August 23, 2009
I don't know whether I should feel relieved or sad that I finally know the truth.

The truth freaking hurts.

It does.

Start of the New Semester
Wednesday, August 19, 2009
This week constitute the real start of the semesters, as my tutorials and seminars begin.

I tell you. I am swamped with readings, READINGS and MORE READINGS. It's kind stressful to keep up with so much readings. I even bought my Compensation textbook on the train to read for tomorrow's lesson. Yes. This is how sad my life is gonna be.

And for the past two days, I have been trying to create and then rehearse my introductory speech. I am gonna give a 3-min introductory speech in front of the class tomorrow, and haha, I am still practicing. But I am more or less there already. Just need to brush up. =)

I finally attended my French lessons! OMG lor! I am like so excited! YaY! French! =D

Je m'appelle Kelvin Yip. Je suis singapourien. Je parle anglais et chinois. J'habite Woodlands à Singapour. Je suis étudiant à NTU. Et toi?

Autumn Cleaning
Sunday, August 16, 2009
I declare the start of a new project: Autumn Cleaning.

Yes. It's autumn now, and it's time to clean my room.

You see ar. For the last year I have lived in Hall. My hall room has plenty of shelves for me to put my textbooks and files and stuff. So, I have no problems about spatial arrangements for my books.

However, it is a different story back in my own room. My shelves are full of old books. Like, really full. Ask the people who come to my house regularly. Damn full. How to put my files and textbooks and stuff? (They are currently residing in my closet, and it's really unglam to open and close my wardrobe to get my textbooks and notes.)

So, I have decided it's time to revamp my shelves. I am getting rid of really old books that I don't read anymore. Probably gonna recycle them. HaHa. But that's later in the morning/afternoon, after I wake up. =p

Bye bye old storybooks! =(

My Late Birthday Celebration
Friday, August 14, 2009
Just now (as in Thursday night), I went to eat 翡翠小笼包 buffet @ Holland V with Andy & Jerome. They treated me for this dinner as a birthday present.

The dinner is nice, filling and shiok. I zham a lot of 小笼包s! Damn nice can!! But most importantly, I enjoyed my dinner with Jerome and Andy. It has been 3 months since the 3 of us sat down and talked. HaHa! It's just like the good old times man. =)

Must really thank them for taking the evening off to come eat dinner with me! Really really appreciate it a lot! =D

Jerome just sent me back from Holland V, and then went back to NTU. So nice right? Thanks bro! =D

And August 13th was my father's birthday. We are going to eat out later in the afternoon, so YAY! =D

I meow.

Hall 1 FOC 09/10: CHIPMUNKS!
Sunday, August 9, 2009
Hey hey! I am back from my 6-days Hall 1 FOC Camp!

I went there as a Chipmunks senior this time round, helping Yong Joo (the CGL) and the rest of the MGLs with whatever I can help with, and then also, taking care of the juniors whenever possible.

It was a totally different experience coming back as a senior. As a senior, I really know all the inner-workings around the camp (why and how certain things happen this way instead of that). I also knew how my seniors felt last year and understood a lot of their 苦衷. I also bonded really well with some of my other seniors also. I was painfully shy amongst them last year when I was still a freshie, but now, I think I opened up a lot more because I can relate to them more easily. I mean, as a freshie, there was a senior-freshie divide la, but now, I don't feel that way anymore. LOL!

I took care of the freshies a lot. I kept giving them water, made sure they are constantly hydrated. I also made efforts to talk to some of them, to keep them un-bored and prevent them from sleeping, and also to build friendships la.

I say, this new batch of Chipmunks seems different from our batch. Quite obvious right from the start (I shalln't go into the differences, least my blog got stumbled upon). I am quite interested to see how they will bond in the coming semester, and also, how many will come back for next year's FOC. :)

It really was quite an interesting experience going back for Hall 1 FOC. Maybe I will come back next year. Maybe not for the full camp, but I will be back to teach Cheer Fight (we won AGAIN! So proud of my freshies! =D). Whatever happens, happens. =D
