Apologies
Sunday, November 30, 2008
LOL. Yesterday was the first time I drank until so "high". I wasn't drunk, as in, I was very aware of my surroundings and events, but more like, my senses were heightened and I was being very weird.

HaHa. I apologize for any inconveniences caused by my "drunkenness". =(

And, also, I am sorry for the rude way I treated you all in the morning after our mahjong. I was being unnecessarily rude and grumpy. =(

But, I did enjoy the mahjong session, the DXO and eating at Muthu's Curry. =D Here's a bon voyage to Joyce, PY, and XC for their trip to India in December! Be safe and have fun! =D

Starting Work...
Tuesday, November 25, 2008
I've been holding off this announcement for quite some time now. But now that exams are over, let me announce that...

I have a job! Starting tomorrow! LOL! Actually, it's a part-time job. Back at UniSIM Exam Department. LOL! That's right. I think I am working there for about 2 weeks, pending possible 2 more weeks of extension. This time, I am doing exam work for the DMS side. Heh. New experience wor. I will be working with Edwin and Eric again. =D

Actually, I learned quite a lot the UniSIM job. All my Excel, computer networking skills learned from that job came in useful for my IT module this sem. Now, let's see what I can learn from these 2 weeks... =)

Finally Over

IT'S OVER!!!!

Okay. I didn't have time to finish FM and Biz Law. FM is chui-ed, cause everyone said die. Actually, I admit it's hard la, but it's kinda do-able. If I have more time. For Biz Law, I am glad I can apply all the relevant law principles (my notes really came in handy, LOL!). It's just the lack of time.... There goes 25 marks lor. GG-ed.

Yeah. It's over. Actually, I feel kinda like lost like that. Everyday for the past 3 weeks, I have been studying day and night with Jerome, Andy and Amanda. Studies, revision and the going-outs for lunch and dinner has been my life for those days. And now that exams have ended, there's like, I don't know what to do anymore that kinda thing. Like, lost. Heh.

Anyway, I must really thank Jerome, Andy and Amanda for studying together with me for these past 3 weeks. Without their company, encouragement, laughter and jokes, I wouldn't be where I am today. We all worked hard, and smart, and whatever happens, I am proud of all of us. =D 大家辛苦了!

Last Day
OMG.

1 hour to FM and 5 to Biz Law, neither of which I feel prepared for.

I really need all the luck in the world, RIGHT NOW.

Panicking!!!
Saturday, November 22, 2008
OMG OMG OMG OMG!

I am panicking right now. I haven't finished on my Biz Law notes yet (I still have contract remedies and discharge to mind-map out), and I am supposed to be doing all my past year exam papers by now already. I got freaking 2 days left, and 2 subjects to cram and revise for.

Oh shit. I am really panicking now. How I would give for FM/Biz Law to be pushed back by few more days. I would really love that!

Shitty hell. Can't wait for Monday to come man.

Confidence Dropped
Thursday, November 20, 2008
Ayioh. I think I am kinda screwed for FM le la. Dunnoe what I am studying sia. I haven't started practicing yet, but I am so fearful. I don't know why anyone would want to take BAF. So freaking difficult.

And then I read the examiner's report for Biz Law. Ayioh. I feel so damn scared now. I mean, I can identify which legal principles to use and all, but... I am scared for the application part! Must consider a lot of things when applying the law to the case. Feeling damn scared now, and confidence level is dropping.

I am also, SO HUNGRY. HUNGRY!!!!!

P/s: Apparently, an alien has invaded ASG! OH NOES! Who will save us?!

Accounting Over!
Monday, November 17, 2008
YAY!!!! Accounting is over!! OMG!

If I dare say so, if nothing goes wrong, I can hit my target for Accounting, and possibly more. This is the first exam paper which I was doing until so happily. =D Let's just hope my careless mistake ain't gonna deny me of the wonderful A+.... =p

Okay. Time to get back to earth. Next Monday is FM and Biz Law. I am damn damn scared for FM la. OMG. I must put in extra effort to study all the way till next Monday.

Yeah. Extra effort, starting tomorrow. Since Jerome and Andy are going home today, I decided to take a little siesta from studying and just relax for a while. Go home, watch my TV shows (couldn't resist la!! I am so tv-deprived!), relax and take a chill pill. =D

Chiong tomorrow, yes.

2 down, 2 to go!!! =D

Stopping Accounting
Sunday, November 16, 2008
Okay. Yesterday night, or today early morning, rather, I stopped my Accounting revision. This time, I feel confident and ready to tackle the paper. I received a moral boost on Friday when I got back my accounting project. Let's just say that if I go in there and attempt one full question (out of 3), I can walk away safely with a pass. But no, of course cannot do that! Accounting is a potential A+ subject. Must reach for that! =D

I am starting FM today. Oh my 天! I hope to at least pass this thing. I calculated that if I get at least A for the other 3 modules, and I just pass this module, I can safely get my aim of Semester GPA of 4.0. =p But of course, a C looks terrible on my transcript (just like that stupid D for Physics in my A Levels....), so I cannot let that happen. =p

I am about to go study le, so I will post again another day. Hopefully you will hear good news tomorrow after my Accounting exam. =D

Accounting/FM Woes
Friday, November 14, 2008
Sigh. My roomie very good life leh. He ended his exam today, and I am left with an empty room for the next 10 days. Sigh. So jealous lor.

I started my Accounting revision today... I hope everything goes well... By now, I should be answering my accounting questions with relative ease... Sigh. Suddenly I don't confident of myself. But I shouldn't do this la.

My FM, on the other hand, is gonna die. I am 3 FM chapters behind schedule, and I don't know if I can catch up with my FM on time. I still need to revise de, and besides, Biz Law is also on the 24th, same day as FM. I need to study for that too. Sigh.... I am really really dreading my FM.... But I must stay strong! I must gao dim my FM, and motivate Jerome to study for it as well! None of my friends are gonna fail anything. NONE.

I am so sorry for posting so many exam-related blog posts. I need this space to let go some exam-stress. After 24th, I promise to stop obsessing over exams (until when the time for grades to come out... =p).

I better go get some sleep. Tomorrow's another day full of Accounting... Here we go again. =p

IT Exam
Wednesday, November 12, 2008
So... I finally sat for my first paper in NTU.

I expected IT to be tough, given how unsure I am. However, actually, it turned out to be quite easy. I mean, only like, the last three lessons were tested (plus a minor part of the second lecture), and it's only some components of those chapters.

I am glad I am studying with my friends. It really helps, when we help each other to study and learn. If not for them, I don't think I will be posting this entry so happily now. =)

Next up will be Accounting, and I hope I can score for this. Accounting is one of the subjects I am most confident in, and I am determined to do well in it. I know I can, and I will. =)

1 down, 3 to go!! =D

Cutting Off IT (the exam)
Tuesday, November 11, 2008
Sigh. I feel so unprepared for my IT exam tomorrow.

It's like, I did all my revision yesterday, and up till a certain point, I just couldn't absorb anymore things into my brain.

At this point, I would have cut off IT le. I have a habit to cut off revision for a subject when I felt confident enough, and move on to another subject deserving more of my attention. No point studying the same old thing which I know already.

However, that is for subjects which I am confident of. Now, I just feel like cutting off IT, but I don't feel secure enough to. Sigh.

Save my B+!!!!

Competition
Sunday, November 9, 2008
I was studying with Jerome and his girlfriend today when I launched into talking about my desired grades for this semester. Jerome then jokingly said something about competing with me, and then I replied, "I am not competing with you ok. I am competing with myself."

This topic has been brewing on my mind for quite a few days. I don't understand why some people like to compete with their own classmates so much. I mean, yeah, there's the bell-curve and our final grades are dependent on how the others performed. But, competing to the point of stabbing people in their face (and back) and gossiping about other people who did better? What for? What can you get out of this? Better grades unethically? Harming relationships that doesn't need to get harmed in the first place?

While I recognize that there's a bell curve system, I didn't let it faze me, nor affect me in how I study and interact with others. I am the kind who helps my friends in their assignments, in their tutorials, in their revision. I share my knowledge, and at the same time, I am benefiting from it as well, cause I get to really build my foundations while teaching others. If my friends put in great effort and in the end, get better grades than I did, then I am glad for them. I am glad that their efforts paid off, and I couldn't be more proud. If I got a lousier grade, then it is only my fault and ineptitude to blame. But at least, I feel good about it. I got my grades, for the better or the worse, with a good moral conscience, and I have nothing to be ashamed of.

I truly view this revision and sitting for examinations as competing with myself. I don't study so that I can get better grades than Bitch A and Bastard B (although it's nice if I did), and employ various means to harm them. No. I study so that I can achieve what I want, and be proud of myself. I aim for myself, and that's a sight I am not gonna lose in this business world of back-stabbings and bitchery.

So, these are my aims (minimum score) for this Semester:

Semester GPA: 4.0

IT: B+
FM: B+
Accounting: A-
Business Law: A-

Exam Revision Schedule
Tuesday, November 4, 2008
Me and Jerome has came up with an exam revision schedule, as shown below (click to enlarge).

That's right. This essentially means that I won't be going back home till 24th Nov. This schedule seems a bit relaxed... but let me tell you... it's not. I think we are kinda squeezed for time, and I am definitely feeling the pressure.

So, yes, that's right. I will be forgoing all my tv shows till 24th. My darling TV shows. Such sacrifices I make for good grades. Bo bian.

I really hope I can score well for this. I need my 4.0 this year! =S

CQ's 21st Birthday - Actual Event

CQ's 21st Birthday - Actual Event

This blog entry chronicles the actual events that took place on 2nd November, from the eyes of the BFF.

I met CQ and his family for lunch at Admiralty Place at 1pm, and after that, we proceeded to go to The Calrose, the place of the celebration.

We actually meant to go early to decorate the function room, but, LOL, we ended up watching videos till about 4pm.

From 4pm to 5.30, it was a mad mad hour of decorating frenzy. Like, totally mad and confusing, and towards the end, frustrating. But, we still managed to put the decorations up, and I am quite proud of that. =)

Me and BFF went up to change into our celebration outfits, and then started the long long wait for guests to arrive.

The first pair, Ronald and Eugene Loh, didn't come till 6-plus. Slowly, the rest started filtering in, and ASG finally came close to 7.

It was quite a night for CQ, as he have to go around entertaining different groups of people - ASG, army friends, uni friends and relatives. LOL. ASG even put on makeup for me, as a testing board for the real deal later. =p I also took the chance to show everyone the secret project while he was distracted.

Cake cutting commenced at 8, and it was again, a whole frenzy of taking photos. It was quite funny to see PY appearing from kindergarten till JC photos. 青梅竹马 indeed. =D

After the cake-cutting, ASG proceeded on with the presentation ceremony. I was asked to be their model for the two bags they bought for CQ. LOL. I even presented him the Adidas bowling/gym bag they bought. Hello. You guys still owe me modeling fees. My services don't come cheap, k? (Cause I am not cheap. =p)

I also presented CQ's Book of Memories to him. That book was a combination of everyone's photos and messages to our beloved friend, and I hope it will give him something to smile about when he's down. He will always remember that his dearest friends will always be within reach, at all times. =)

After that, ASG started to play drinking games to finish the Absolut Mango and Baileys. LOL. It even culminated to the point where we were all deliberately sabo-ing CQ to get him to down 2 cups. (Of course, he didn't complete all 2 cups...) I even got a bit tipsy in the end. OMG. I need to train up. I can't be getting tipsy after 4 plastic cups of wine. Pathetic leh. =p

LOL. His birthday celebration certainly has been fun, and I really enjoyed myself. Thanks CQ, for inviting us to your celeb! =D

P/s: All photos can be seen on FaceBook here and here. =D

CQ's 21st Birthday - Prelude

Everything's in place for BFF's birthday party @ The Calrose. All invitations (and last minute reminders) have been sent out. All presents bought (on Saturday), and the secret project is finally completed.

Now, I am about to leave to meet CQ and his family for lunch at Admiralty Place, and then we will go to The Calrose early to decorate the function room.

I can't wait for the event to occur! I hope it will go well...
