So, today was my brother's first day as a chao recruit soldier in National Slavery Service.

We went to 41SAR bright and early in the morning. Emphasize on really early.

Okay la. The orientation was like the typical orientation in Tekong. However, the parents were much more involved. We were practically with the enlistees every step of the way, from tour of the facilities to them getting their items.

What's more interesting is that apparently, 41SAR has a tradition of the enlistee's parents having the first shave. So, my mother did that.

So, yep. Definitely quite interesting, and different from Tekong's BMT.
